If you need to send emails as another mailbox in Microsoft Outlook, you must have the appropriate permissions (Send As or Send on Behalf). This guide explains how to enable and use the "From" field in Outlook to send emails from another address.

Prerequisites

  • You must have Send As or Send on Behalf permissions for the other mailbox.

Adding the mailbox to Outlook allows you to access it directly and simplifies sending emails:

  1. Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
  2. Double-click your email account in the list.
  3. Click More Settings.
  4. Navigate to the Advanced tab.
  5. Under "Open these additional mailboxes," click Add....
  6. Enter the name or email address of the mailbox.
  7. Click OK, then restart Outlook.
